Desplegándose en las salas del museo, fachada y antejardín, esta exposición invita al público a explorar obras de su colección, producidas entre la década de los sesenta y la actual, desde una aproximación multifocal y sensorial activada por la energía y el simbolismo del color rojo como fuerza de renovación.
Con obras de connotados artistas nacionales e internacionales, algunas de ellas nunca antes exhibidas, la muestra propone tres conceptos-fuerza sin querer limitar su lectura a estas narrativas: ideología, campo de color y cuerpo. Desde la asociación inmediata del rojo con la conceptualización política de los pensamientos progresistas que dieron origen a nuestro museo en 1971, y actualmente movilizan cambios sociales en nuestro país, pasando por obras que exaltan la sinestesia, el desborde, el vínculo insoslayable con el cuerpo, el poder, la violencia, el erotismo y la fertilidad.
Displayed in the museum, this exhibition invites the public to explore artworks from the MSSA collection, produced between the 1960’s and now, from a multifocal and sensory approach driven by the energy and symbolism of the color red, which is here understood as a driving force for change.
Featuring works by renowned national and international artists, some of them never seen before, the exhibition proposes three concepts without restricting their interpretation: ideology, color field and body. From the immediate political association of red with the progressive ideals that gave rise to our museum in 1971 (and that are currently driving social changes in our country) to works that exalt synesthesia, frenzy and the inevitable link with the body, with power, violence, eroticism and fertility.
